as of late, i have been obsessed with all things related to weddings esp mughal-y, vintage-y stuff. don’t take a genius to figure out why. when i envision a subcontinental bride, i see a mughal princess. end of story. when i think of a subcontinental groom, i see a mughal prince.
or just someone in a sherwani. it saddens me to report here that my future mister refuses to wear a sherwani on our wedding. i think he should rethink his decision. it upsets me, even breaks my heart a little – to think he will not share in my vintage-y, ethnic, traditional glory. thoughts???
anywho.
apparently i have been living under a rock, because i wasn’t aware that indian jewelry brand tanishq had released a special edition line inspired by the epic movie jodhaa akbarlate last year. and lemme tell you, this line has *all* the goods i’m lookin’ for. absolutely stunning necklaces, earrings, panjas, armbands and more are all fashioned out of precious jewels and kundan/polki echoing the regal character of the jewels of the mughal kings and queens.
i am in luuusstttt
note to future mister: please see pic 10. greatkthanks
