Let Them Eat Cake!

Mughal Bling

<p style="text-align: center;">as of late, i have been obsessed with all things related to weddings esp mughal-y, vintage-y stuff. don’t take a genius to figure out why.  when i envision a subcontinental bride, i see a <a href="http://www.dollsofindia.com/dollsofindiaimages/women-posters/noorjahan-mughal-queen-PI52_l.jpg" target="_blank" title="Noor Jehan ">mughal princess</a>. end of story. when i think of a subcontinental groom, i see a mughal prince.</p><br/><p style="text-align: center;">or just someone in a sherwani. it saddens me to report here that my future mister refuses to wear a sherwani on our wedding. i think he should rethink his decision. it upsets me, even breaks my heart a little – to think he will not share in my vintage-y, ethnic, traditional glory. thoughts???</p><br/><p style="text-align: center;">anywho.</p><br/><p style="text-align: center;">apparently i have been living under a rock, because i wasn’t aware that indian jewelry brand <em>tanishq </em>had released a special edition line inspired by the epic movie <em>jodhaa akbar</em>late last year. and lemme tell you, this line has *all* the goods i’m lookin’ for. absolutely stunning necklaces, earrings, panjas, armbands and more are all fashioned out of precious jewels and kundan/polki echoing the regal character of the jewels of the mughal kings and queens.</p><br/><p
